Our six churchyards (which includes the Old Tower Churchyard at Bishop Thornton) are managed for people and nature. In order to encourage a beautiful diversity of wildflowers, plants, insects and small animals they need active management. How about joining the Churchyard Tidy Up on the afternoon of Saturday 12th October? We won't have time to work on them all but we hope to make some progress with St Andrew's Burnt Yates and St Michael's Markington, if we get sufficient volunteers. Come along, have fun, and be the change you want to see. If you can't come, please pray for us and give thanks for the gift of creation.
