Eco tip for the first week in May
No Mow May
No Mow May is becoming increasingly popular. The idea is to leave your lawn uncut to allow wildflowers to bloom, providing vital nectar for bees and butterflies. It’s also a great time to plant for pollinators: introduce pollinator-friendly plants like marigolds, petunias, and fuchsias to support bees and insects.
God created the world to flourish through the intricacy of biodiversity. Perhaps when Jesus said, ‘consider the lilies of the fields’ he meant just that: for us to look closely at the beauty and complexity of nature, to understand it better and to avoid where possible upsetting those delicate balances.
