Eco Tip for the first week of December

Deck the Halls!

Chances are you have a cupboard full of sparkly Christmas decorations that come out every year. If so, great! Make the most of what you have and don’t throw them out unless you must! BUT, if you feel you need to add something new, try to avoid tinsel. Apart from the fact that it will end up shedding all over your home, it’s made from plastic which can take centuries to biodegrade. Instead have a go at making something pretty and sustainable to drape across your tree. Look online for ideas for tinsel-alternatives such as strung-together origami or pinecones or popcorn.

As you put out your Christmas Decorations, try to remember where they came from,  and maybe who gave/made it for you and thank God for that place or person.
