Walks and Pilgrimage
Welcome to our parish pilgrim routes—a collection of circular walking trails designed to connect our historic churches, ancient footpaths, and countryside with space for quiet reflection.
Whether you are looking for a day’s hike through the Yorkshire landscape, exploring local heritage, or seeking a deeper spiritual journey, these routes offer a warm welcome to everyone. Keep checking back, we're looking to expand the range of walks on offer over time.

The Pilgrim Walker Guides
A pilgrimage is more than just a hike—it’s an opportunity to carry an intention, slow down, and connect with God.
To accompany your journey (or to use independently in a quiet churchyard or local park), we have created a series of Pilgrim Walker reflection guides. These double-sided guides offer scripture, prayers, and simple physical pauses to turn any walk into a sanctuary for the heart.
- The download contains all the guides, choose the one that meets you where you are today:
- Walking with Loss— A gentle companion for times of grief, longing, or heavy hearts.
- For a Time of Change — Finding direction, courage, and peace at life’s crossroads.
- Looking for Inspiration — Opening your eyes to wonder, creativity, and spiritual renewal.
- Saying Sorry — A space for repentance, letting go, and receiving grace.
- Thanksgiving & Celebration — Pausing to offer joy, gratitude, and praise for life's blessings.
- The Young Pilgrim — An interactive adventure in nature for children, families, and youth.
