Halloween Pumpkins

What can you do with a carved pumpkin after Halloween?

Here are a few ideas:

  • Composting: Pumpkins are rich in nutrients and make an excellent addition to your compost pile. Remove any candles or decorations, cut the pumpkin into smaller pieces, and add it to your compost bin. The pumpkin will break down and enrich your compost, which can later be used to nourish your garden.
  • Cooking and Baking: If your pumpkin is still in good condition, consider using it in the kitchen. Roast the flesh for a side dish or for soups. Making Bird Feeders: Transform your pumpkin into a bird feeder by cutting it in half and removing the seeds. Fill the hollowed-out halves with birdseed and hang them from a tree or place them on a flat surface. This provides a sustainable food source for birds during the colder months
