Share Before You Buy
Need a ladder, hedge trimmer or some specific item of camping gear that you only need once? Before buying new, ask a relative, neighbour or friend if you can borrow one. Sharing saves money, reduces waste and storage, and builds stronger communities. If you have a community What’s App group or Facebook page, post a message asking to borrow – or offering to lend something. Shaw Mills and Bishop Thornton’s What’s App group has been a great at encouraging sharing as well as recycling things that are no longer needed. No What’s App group in your community?
