Spring Clean and Decluttering

Spring is a great time for deep cleaning, sorting out and decluttering. But what do you do with those items that you now judge as simply ‘clutter’? Rather than taking everything to the tip or putting stuff in the bin, might it be possible to donate, sell, upcycle some of it?

Charity shops need items that are undamaged and still have useful life – things that you’re tired of seeing may bring others great joy. If you are reluctant to donate items because they seem too valuable, selling them via the various online second-hand outlets might liberate space and earn you something. ‘Upcycling’ is now very popular – look at sites like Pintrest for some inspiration and instructions.
