Coffee on the Go

I find it a real treat to have a coffee while I’m out and about, if I’m near a good coffee shop. But did you know that in the UK, approximately 2.5 billion disposable coffee cups are used and thrown away each year? Put end to end, these would stretch round the world 5 ½ times (and we are not a very big country)! This significant waste contributes to environmental issues, including plastic pollution and the impact on recycling infrastructure.

Why not keep a non-disposable cup in your shopping bag/car? Such a small thing, but if we all did this, the impact would be HUGE.
