More Harvest!

Surely harvest needs one than one mention.

If you look carefully there is still nature’s bounty waiting to be harvested. What about picking some sloes for sloe gin and there are still small wild apples (and other fruits) on the trees that make a marvellous sweet jelly. Both would make great, cheap and ecological Christmas presents.

But maybe, even if you don’t find anything to harvest on your autumnal walks, there is some much beauty at this time of year on which to feast:

Father God, we thank you for the flaming colours of Autumn. Help us to appreciate the beauty of your creation and our responsibility to be good, rather than careless stewards of the world.
